Buddhist Monk generations

One of the Buddhist monasteries in Kathmandu, we were allowed in while they were chanting. No admission fees, no guided tours, just sit if you want to hear, tea if you like. No charge for photos, but as the monasteries have to be self sufficient, a donation is welcome.

Some boys start at a young age, bringing the tea, banging the drums or just watching the elders.
It is very hard to estimate the age of these 2, but in practicality they will be 2 generations apart. Some wisdom is universal and timeless but can only be told and transferred in person, while new wisdom can only be learnt from new insights and new generations. When was the last time you spent a few hours with your grandfather or grandson?
